Basics: Anti-spasm meds like this are not selective to the label of the condition they are used to treat. They can reduce spasm from any of many causes.

Why lactulose?: if she's taking lactulose for constipation there are other options. (miralax, sorbitol, mag citrate). If it is for something else, the I would want more info.

do you have fever? is there blood in the diarrhea? have you had any stomach/intestinal issues in the past? does anyone else @home have  same symptoms?
if the answers to  above are No....Try eating "lightly"over next 24hrs. i..no dairy spicy foods etc...be sure to drink water/teas etc so you don't get dehydrated....if no improvement, see your Dr..

Consider a visit with one of the docs online. The consult would likely get your steered the right direction.
