Yes pressure occurs: Hyperacidity could cause pressure in the lower chest and upper abdomen to the extent that it may act as if it is an angina pain. Bloating could occur, too. If you have kidney infection, you need to see a doctor or a nurse practitioner to get antibiotics. Pressure in the back may suggest increasing of the urine infection into a kidney infection.

Seek help.: Severe pain is always a worrisome symptom, especially if it doesn't leave. Kidney stone pain is typically colicky, severe, can be back or abdomen, and radiates into the groin. For pain control, urgent care of ER tonight. Otherwise, schedule to see dr tomorrow if possible. Try straining all urine with computer paper taped into a funnel with no opening at the point to trap any sand or stone.

The Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): Bloating is a common side effect of antibiotics, including Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim).  Constipation, diarrhea or both (alternating) are also possible.  The duration of this effect is difficult to predict.  The most likely mechanism is the antibiotic effect of normal gut microbiota and subsequent recolonization.

Possible gallbladder: Flank pain might represent kidney issue but since it also is associated with right sided abdominal pain and bloating i would suspect gallbladder disease. You should be evaluated further by your physician.

Kidney stone?: Could be a kidney stone.  Push fluids, take Ibuprofen if appropriate.  If symptoms persist, make a follow up with your appointment.  Other possibilities are issues with your ovary, with the blood in your urine not being part of the issue.

can high dose cefelexin (1.5 g/day for a year) cause kidney problems or any other complications/side effects? my dr wants to start me on this for recurrent kidney infections but i just want to better understand the risks first?

: This is unusual treatment for recurrent or persistent urinary tract infection, but may be appropriate if your doctor has a good understanding of the nature of the infection and best treatment. It would be appropriate to see an infectious diseases specialist (or in UK, a genitourinary medicine [GUM] physician) if you haven't yet done so. Cephalexin has few side effects, kidney damage unlikely.

i have had two kidney infections in  5 months ( neither required hospital stay)  what can cause this and should i be concerned ?

Maybe: But not necessarily for sure.  It depends on many other factors and what the infection was from.  You and your doctor should look at your lab tests and determine why you are having infections so close together.
