No: Testicle cancer is not caused by trauma. Trauama can lead to bleeding, infection, and damage requiring its removal but over the long term, testicle cancer does not develop.

No: "mountain oysters" are fairly popular in some parts of the usa.  Cancer isn't an infection and even if a live animal cancer cell were injected into your bloodstream, your body would just reject it.

With banked sperm.: Sperm banking is an important part of any discussion for those undergoing treatment for testicular cancer. Most cancers involve one testicle only, but those with testicular cancer appear to have abnormalities with their sperm in the unaffected testis. Removal of both testicles, chemotherapy, or retroperitoneal surgery for more advanced testis cancer can render the patient infertile.

Yes: Each testicle's risk of developing cancer is independent of the other so you're 50% less likely compared to having both although this assumes that you didn't lose 1st one to cancer.

No.: Testicular cancer almost always presents as a lump in the testicle itself, not in the tube-like structures attached to it.

2.2% risk of cancer: The Stanford study which found increased cancer risk in azoospermic men did not evaluate men who were castrated (is that which you mean by "lost both testicles"?)  Of course a man who has no testicles, can not get testicular cancer (unless they were removed FOR testicular cancer).  Castrated men have a lower risk of prostate cancer due to lack of testosterone.

how common is it for someone to get testicular cancer after losing one testicle to testicular torsion? i'm scared that if it is more common, what will happen if i might lose the other one. i've not got testicular cancer just to clear that one up?

: No, it is not a common cancer, about 1 out of every 250 men and boys will be diagnosed with the disease during their lifetime. History of testicular torsion is not a risk factor for this malignancy.

i have hydroceles/varioceles in my testicles. its hard to do self exams for testicular cancer. any advice? im always worried i may get it but never be able to know if its different. any advice?

hi. i've had a ultrasound on my testicle s. ultrasound found a small 2mm single calcification in my left testicle. i've been discharged. i was wondering if this is correct, and if it can lead to cancer, or whether i'm at a higher risk?

: This can happen due to various reasons and is not alarming if the rest of the testicle was normal. You are not at a higher risk for cancer because of that. But in your age group it is recommended that you learn testicular self exam from your Urologist. Also a good idea to follow-up with ultrasound every 1-2 years to see for any change.
