No: It won't help.  As before, your best remedy by far is the topical benzoyl peroxide. If you can't tolerate it, a salicylic acid wash or a retinoic acid derivative may be an alternative.

Get a real Rx: Drinking water and keeping your skin dry will not help with your acne. It's a serious, chronic, non-lifestyle-related disease that can be a major personal and professional handicap. Get with your personal physician now. Topical and "folk / home" remedies will probably not clear your disease. If a systemic antibiotic and spironolactone don't clear you, please consider isotretinoin. Do what you must.

No: The development of acne lesions is not related to water intake  whether  it is too little or too much.  Heredity, hormones and stress are more likely  culprits.

Acne and dairy: Studies from new zealand show a correlation of acne with dairy products.  The authors postulate that the hormones from the cattle can affect acne in humans.  There is a simple test you can do.  Stop the dairy products for two weeks.  Then add the dairy back and if you have an acne flare there is a correlation.

You are almost grown up, and you need to address your acne, which is a serious social and professional liability now. If topical benzoyl peroxide and/or isotretinoin have not cleared you in two weeks, see your physician for prescription strength Rx.

Acne and Water: It is recommended that persons drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. There is no special recommendation for persons with acne. However, if you are prone to acne, i advise cutting down or cutting out carbonated soft drinks and cut down on sugary juices.

Myth: There's a folk idea that acne results from "poisons / toxins" that are coming out the skin, and they might be washed out in a high volume of urine. This is subscientific. All acne is manageable today with scientific techniques. Please don't keep yourself or someone under your care from getting the benefits of real treatment.
