No: This is the prescientific idea that you will "wash toxins out of your body" by your kidneys or through the back door. Being a kid with acne is difficult without having to put up with advice from ignorant people. Get a scientific rx -- your physician can clear you if you and those around you can get over the "natural is better" or "acne is your fault" mentality.

Water for acne: Water has no effect on acne. No scientific proof of any benefits.

No: That's a foolish folk remedy basic on the subscientific notion that "water washes out poisons." this is 21st century and all acne is manageable. Benzoyl peroxide is the only otc remedy that works. I add topical Clindamycin plus a retinoic acid derivative if there are blackheads. A systemic antibiotic, or the oral contraceptive pill if a woman can take it, can clear, dermatologists have strong rx.
