Not in itself: Diabetes can affect every system in the body in different ways.  You may have another issue like a heart problem from the diabetes or from inactivity. Get up and exercise.  Develop stamina.  Consult with your primary care physician.

yes and no: Diabetic ketoacidosis causes air hunger - a severe form of shortness of breath. Uncomplicated diabetes causes neither shortness of breath nor blood in the urine  - i'd look for another cause.

Symptoms: It appears that Urbanol (Clobazam) is an anti-anxiety medication.  I am wondering if you are feeling anxious?  What is really important is to get emergency care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, significant &amp; persistent chest pain or new-onset of confusion. Hydrate very well with non-caffeinated fluids.

54 year old obese male; had a heart attack 3 years ago; has had diabetes and chf stage c for 7+ years; bad edema, shortness of breath, immobile; takes beta blockers, diuretics, etc. but won't change diet, exercise, or see a cardiologist. prognosis?

: Not a good prognosis. I am afraid that this male patient, if he continues on this path, without lifestyle changes and without the care of a cardiologist will almost certainly have another heart attack which may turn out to be fatal.

Histatussin: Histatussin, which is not available in the USA, contains chlorpheniramine, a well tolerated short acting anti-histamine, ammonium chloride, used as an expectorant, and ephedrine for nasal congestion. AC can cause metabolic acidosis which would make you feel short of breath. Ephedrine can cause tachyarrhythmias which would make you feel S.O. B. so the answer is...yes, it's possible.

Many things: Shortness of breath needs to be evaluated by your physician.  It can be due to heart problems, lung problems (smoking related, asthma, etc), deconditioning, irregular heart rhythms, vocal cord or upper airway problems.  See your doctor, ask if getting a stress test is appropriate due to your age.  This is not something one should sit on.
