Bad idea: Dettol is a good antiseptic for toilets, sinks ; counters not for vaginas. Vagina is designed to keep itself clean ; normally contains lactobacilli (good bacteria) which tend to keep vagina infection free. Best to wash around vagina with unscented soap. Vaginal yeast, if present, can be treated with antifungals such as monistat, Gyne-Lotrimin or miconazole. Dettol will kill good bacteria.

Dettol: Reminds me of my childhood summers in ireland!  dettol is an admisture of a phenolic compound, chloroxylenol (4.8%) mixed w/pine oil, isopropanol, castor oil, soap ; water. It is great for cleaning surfaces and disinfecting skin surfaces (small area for short period of time) but it would be too irritating and toxic for mucosal surfaces.
