Yes: Not sure what you mean by dentyl active mouthwash, but there are some prescribed or given out by your dentist mouthwashes that can stain your teeth. Mouthwashes with Chlorhexidine kill germs and make your gums healthy but do stain teeth. You will have to get it professionally cleaned to remove.  Talk to the doctor.

Mouthwash: Brushing, flossing, and use of a proxy-brush is the best routine for maintaining a healthy mouth. Use of mouthwash is not effective in removing bacterial deposits, although they can be helpful in preventing excessive growth. Salt water, a mild hydrogen peroxide solution, and baking soda may be just as effective as any store bought mouthwash. Concentrate on mechanical debridement.

Yes it can: Hudrogen Peroxide works as a bleaching agent because it penetrates the enamel more deeply.It can cause teeth sensitivity.But it subsides when it is discontinued

Temporary sensitivit: Most bleaching agents will remove oxygen in the tooth, this is not hurting the tooth only your sensitivity which will only be temporary.  Just try to rinse with tepid water to keep the sensitivity down.  Or use a sensitivity tooth paste every other time which may diminish the sensitivity.  Bottom line is you are not hurting your teeth and the rinse is working, .

nightly i use crest 3d white glamorous white mouth wash. is this stuff safe to use nightly? it contains only 1.5% hydrogen peroxide which is relatively low from what i understand. any concerns about doing this? should i limit the frequency?

: You get the best results from any teeth whitening agent immediately after the tooth have been professionally cleaned. You are right the Hydrogen Peroxide % is low. Remember not to eat any pigmented foods for a couple of days after using teeth whitening agents. You will get a better result with professional whitening trays - it may be cheaper in the long run.

i have canker sores and got a peroxide sore mouth wash crest it says do not swallow but after u spit it out and then swallow some will still go down?

We do prefer swish : and spit but a small amount may be swallowed and shouldn't be a problem
