Accepted Answer

That is unusual: But the more common causes include GERD or gastro-esophageal reflux  or a Hiatal hernia.  Also, one considers gallstones and even pancreatitis.   A consultaion with a Gastroenterologist  and possibly 
Ultrasoiund and CT  Scan of the Abdomen will provide needed  information.

Not usually: I would not expect coffee to be the reason for your leg cramps. Your physician will evaluate you for other issues that may be causing the cramps

i accidentally drank citric acid descaler after descaling my coffee machine. i have stomach cramps, nausea, and tightness in throat (this could be anxiety symptom?). its been about an hour or so. but nausea seems to be getting worse. any advice?

: It depends on how much you drank and how concentrated the citric acid is. Drink a liter of water to dilute the acid. If you can't keep down drink due to the nausea (you didn't mention having vomiting), it would wise to go to the ED. Try taking three tablets of tums or similar calcium carbonate tabs to neutralize the acid, and observe for 20 min for relief. A tbsp of baking soda also works

acidic and starchy foods (corn, potatoes, coffee) make me really sick with stomach cramps and diarrhea for the last year.  what is wrong?

Gluten allergy: Could be gluten allergy, esophageal reflux, Irritable bowel or even colitis.  You should have an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

No: Coffee will not affect the result but may cause the diarrhea to get worse. Drink plenty of fluid and follow up as needed. I  hope you feel better

Not allergic: Coffee, even decaff, contains organic acids that can be irritating to the gut. Some people ate more sensitive than others. Can also aggravate inflammation of esophagus (esophagitis), stomach (gastritis).  May aggravate other GI issues. See md if ongoing, severe, bleed, fever, weight loss, nighttime symptoms, etc.

Many things possible: Haven't heard of a morning cup of coffee causing leg cramps, but leg cramps are common in people with and without medical disorders. A person can get more leg cramps if there is:  chemical imbalance, abnormal nerve function, muscle fatigue, osteoarthritis, Parkinson disease, physical inactivity, spinal stenosis, liver or kidney or thyroid disorders, diabetes, etc,...

why does coffee and other caffeinated beverages give me stomach cramps and make me use the restroom? had gallbladder removed and it's been an issue

Caffein=gastritis : Caf. Is a stomach irritant like asa is. Gastritis ; asa , nsaids r all causes of ulcers or gastritis ; can cause a similar reaction. It/they also can trigger the gastrocolic reflex which sends u 2 the bathroom.
