: Discomfort in the upper midabdomen with associated back discomfort can be caused by a penetrating peptic ulcer of the stomach.or duodenum&amp;also by pancreatic pathology.  Gall bladder cause is less likely.  See your physician or a gastroenterologist for evaluation &amp; appropriate testing. In the meantime avoid spicy,oily,fried foods,alcohol,smoking,caffeine&amp; take famotidine daily until you're examined

i have been having stomach issues for the last 4 years. in the last year i noticed that carbohydrates are the reason i am bloated, also it seems i get nervous and paranoid after eating them. and my thought pattern changes. what is causing this?

stomach issues, anytime i eat carbohydrates i get bloated and cramp. wellness test for work, all my result were normal but my a/g ratio was high at 3.0. my globulin is 1.5 mg/dl. my phosphorus 2.7 mg/dl and uric acid 3.7 low. what can cause this?

i am a young male, i have been having stomach issues for quite some time bloating and cramping. when i eat in particular carbohydrates my nipples swell up a lot. is this a liver issue? i has been getting worse over time?

: I assume you're not experiencing actual breast swelling. I'm unable to connect nipple swelling to carbohydrate intake unless some estrogen type compound is released. Friction is the only other cause of nipple swelling in males that I can think of. I assume you've been evaluated for gluten and lactose intolerance as causes of longstanding digestive problems.

whenever i eat breakfast cereal such as shredded wheat or oatmeal, i often feel bloated/gassy or have upset stomach. could that indicate a sensitivity or intolerance to gluten or carbohydrates?

Investigate : Would be quite worthwhile to investigate this, as some simple blood studies would be an excellent screening approach.  You are obviously reacting to some component of the cereal, and this can be readily sorted out, and conceivably dietary management can enhance comfort.

Yes, because...: ... People eat more of them and get fat. This time, the obvious explanation is the correct one. There's nothing magic about the carbs being "refined".  You're in the prime for physical fitness & it's smartest when you're food-shopping to pick up things you aren't likely to overdo (good advice for all of us) good luck.

Possible...: I am assuming you are speaking of carbs that are low on the glycemic index.This can cause some stomach discomfort, as any diet change can cause for short periods of time. However, if it is more pain than discomfort, and if it does not improve after a short time after adjusting to diet, i would recommend assessment by your physician sooner than later. See your Dr.: It sounds like you need a full workup to identify the cause of your hair loss/weight gain/ hormone issues. Go to your Primary care Dr for a thorough physical exam with labwork. In the meantime, keep a food diary where you record foods/ drinks, especially amounts and frequencies This will help your Dr. It is surprising how portion control is easy to overlook when on a low carb diet.

if my palpitations worsen when my stomach is bloated or ive eaten carbs and gassy food. and my palpitations come mainly when laying flat in bed or sitting for long time. what could this indicate usually? this is a new thing happening this last year

Palpitations: You get palpitations after eating carbs and laying flat. These would be possible explanations. When you eat carbs they stimulate your Insulin. Insulin if spiking can have and effect on your potassium and this could cause palpitations. When you lay down fluid from the lower part of the body redistributes to the top and this can put more pressure on your heart.
