dr prescribed azithromycin for lung,sinus issues.im also taking metoprolol,prilosec and albuterol. im seeing albuterol cant be taken with zpack because it can cause irregular heart rhythm. is this valid ? also how far apart do i space prilosec? ty?

: Only do people with history of long QT on EKG are at risk for severe arrhythmia when taking this combination. Risk is also lower if you take albuterol MDI, not albuterol tablet. There is no interaction between this antibiotic and prilosec. You can take this antibiotic because the rhythm side effect is quite rare. Take care!

i took one tablet of sudafed pe two hours ago and one puff of my albuterol inhaler 5 minutes ago. except for sinus pressure i am otherwise healthy wil?

Cold and flu?: Not sure exactly what you are asking but if you have upper respiratory symptoms and you are an asthmatic those are reasonable steps.  If you are congested adding an anti-histamine may help also but decongestants do work better.

Carefully: Try to avoid OTC sinus products that contain phenylephrine which can raise blood pressure when taken w/ bystolic (nebivolol). But otherwise it should be okay. Since you already have high BP - this is important. It should not increase your emotional problems, but if it does - use as little as possible. I hope you feel better soon.

Cautiously yes.: The OTC sinus medicine may not be safe for some people especially if they have high blood pressure.

The OTC sinus medicine usually does not react with the Albuterol, but you may feel some fast heart beat.

URI: Use nasal irrigation with saline (Neti-pot), OTC decongestants, cough syrup with dextromethorphan or a combination medication (check with your friendly pharmacist). Drink lots of liquids and rest as much as possible. Wish you better soon.

Cardiology first: you need to be first evaluated by a cardiologist, and please mention that you've got asthma, then you need to be put on an asthma controller medicine when seen by an allergist or a pulmonologist, good luck

OK: Good luck.  Finish the full course of Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). Possibly the Albuterol and or terbutaline made you dizzy, BP is not bad.  Be sure to make an appt with your Dr. if the dizziness returns or you do not feel better. Good luck.

Ventolin and corticosteroids are both recommended for acute attack of asthma, it will appear that at this time they are not enough to control the flare of your symptom.
The chest pain may be due to the effect of your oral steroid. It will be important to get a consult to sort through your symptoms and to better arrange your medications to control your flare.

The patient was successfully managed with a combination of sinus lavage, oral corticosteroids, itraconazole, and allergen immunotherapy.
