why do i get a headache when running on the treadmill?

2 causes: Running on treadmill elevates heart rate which can cause pounding heart rate transmitted to your head causing a headache. Also, running decreases blood pressure, dilates blood vessels including cerebral blood vessels. Dilated cerebral arterioles increases blood blow to the brain, transiently elevated intracranial cerebral pressure causing a transient headache.

had a baby 3 months ago, just got back on the treadmill and now i get headaches. why is this and what can i do to continue to run?

Start slowly: This could be an exertional headache, which is brought on by physical activity. Take it easy and slowly build your level of activity to see if that helps. Staying hydrated also helps with headaches. See the doctor if the headaches don't get better, start getting worse, or are occurring more frequently. Keep a diary of the headaches and show it to the doctor.

i excercise and walk on treadmill  for 30min to 40min.but i don't sweat.what could the reason be?

Good shape?: Normally you sweat as a way to cool down your body temperature.
Maybe your treadmill workout is too easy for you.
Maybe you need to increase your speed, elevation, etc to push yourself a little more. 
I think you'll probably sweat a little more?

Treadmill: Good arch supported shoes, ice, rest, less incline and speed on the treadmill, using a good quality treadmill, adequate warmup, cool-down, and stretching.

Accepted Answer

Maybe both: The purpose of an exercise treadmill is to elevate your heart rate up to your target heart rate to test the pump and electrical system.  The object is not to make you collapse although that does rarely occur.  We generally stop the test if there is a sense of impending collapse.

Multiple causes but: It may be as simple as dehydration. Next time keep yourself well hydrated before, during and after running.

45 you male, 26bmi, active, echo shows moderate concentric lvh. recent cpet treadmill test stopped after 6 min due to bp of 263/89. possible eih. how do you determine cause, length of time to correct without trial and error medicine? normal daily bp?

: Moderate concentric left ventricular hypertrophy is consistent with chronic hypertension and it could be the reason for not passing the stress test. I am not sure about your blood pressure history so I prefer to have a 24 hours ambulatory blood pressure monitoring for ruling out chronic hypertension. I wonder what the reason for the exercise stress test is. Please follow with your cardiologist.

A number of : Noncardiac causes including GI and musculoskeletal causes. Discuss with your family doctor.
