hi i had a pelvic ultrasound done, it wasn't a transvaginal, it was a normal pelvic ultrasound. if i was 9 weeks preg, would they be able to see it?

Ambivalent: At 9 weeks gestation by last menstrual period a transabdominal ultrasound should pick up the pregnancy. If it doesn't, it should be followed immediately by a transvaginal ultrasound. The rationale for first trimester ultrasound is to determine, whether there is one or more embryo's, whether there is a heart beat or not, and whether the pregnancy is in the uterus or outside.

what does this mean? impression normal pelvic ultrasound. the ovaries are normal, multiple small follicles are present bilaterally, largest 1.4 cm lt.

Normal findings: Normal pelvic ultrasound findings.  Your ovaries are normal in appearance.  Follicles are normally seen on the ovaries especially in a young woman your age.

Question vague but: Many women have occasional variation of their mucus discharge, some spotting between periods, a heavier period, a lighter period, a longer or shorter period, or even a missed period.  Having one or two of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean there is a medical problem, but a visit to one’s primary care or Ob-Gyn doctor is a good idea if symptoms are persistent, recurring, or worrisome.

20yr old.5'3 60kg.no period for 4 months.took duphaston twice a day for 7 days until 2 days back.normal pelvic ultrasound.when will i get my period?

Likely soon: If you have gone months without a period, and your ovaries have produced some estrogen during that time, then your endometrial lining will have accumulated. As long as you're not pregnant, the Progesterone medication that you took should trigger your lining to shed. It can take several (3-4) days to start bleeding after finishing the medication. If estrogen levels were too low, you won't bleed.

i have a constant sensation/urge to urinate that is localised in the vagina rather than the bladder, i know my bladder itself isnt full. ive been tested for utis, stds and had a pelvic ultrasound which all came back normal. what could this be?

: Tests are well and good but you should also have a physical exam including the vaginal area which might lead to a diagnosis for the cause of your symptoms can be many.  so get examined. in the meantime avoid alcohol drink water and try to keep busy with any of your favorite past times like music or sports. It can be: Depending on what on is looking for, patient size, technologist skill, and how well the bladder is distended. The transvaginal exam is  done with a probe that better sees the ovaries and inside of the uterus, so problems there are usually best examined that way.

what does a technician look at during a pelvic ultrasound? do they look at bladder and kidneys?

No: The routine female pelvic ultrasound includes evaluationof the uerus , ovaries and area between the ovaries and uterus. The bladder is present on the examination but is frequently not fully evaluated. In some practices a limited view of the kidneys is obtained but this is certainly ot the standard nor is it routine.

why would ultrasound tech look at bladder and kidneys during pelvic ultrasound? radiologist didn't come i after the scan?

See below: What the tech looks at depends on the ordering physician.If they find something suspicious, they can scan other parts of the abdomen, since the pelvic organs are close to the bladder and ureters ie the tubes, this may be the reason.

Yes: An ultrasound is the best imaging study to look at the pelvic organs (tubes, ovaries and uterus).  An ultrasound can be used to evaluate bladder.  A doctor wanting to evaluate the bladder, may also use cystoscopy, or putting a camera into the bladder and examining the walls of the bladder directly.  A cyst on the ovary won't typically affect bladder at all unless it's cancer, worried about growth.

good doctors i had a pelvic ultrasound scan. prostate was not visualized. bladder was not visualized. limited due to bowel gas. no other abnormal mass or findings were seen. what does this mean ?

: For whatever reasons it is atechnically suboptimal scan and needs repeating- depending on the reason it was ordered
