is my upper back pain due to heart problems or posture problems?

Muscles!!!!: Think flesh/tissue and not bone/ligament/disc with chronic pain! began selfcare with a wellness program of vits, magnesium glycinate, sleep hygiene, exercise, self massage, chiropractor, yoga, heat, epsom tub soaking, stretching all are needed. Herniated disc: There are several possibilities for this pain. Herpes zoster (shingles), an inflamed rib head as it inserts into the spine, or a herniated disc in the thoracic spine (thoracic level 6/7) are some of the possibilities. See a neurosurgeon for evaluation and treatment of the pain.

Go see your doctor: There are a lot of things that could cause these symptoms. Go see your doctor to examine you and figure out what could be causing yours. It could be things as simple as panic attacks, to things as significant as emergency heart related problems.

Chest: It is very possible that that those complaints could be related to the heart as well as possibly the aorta which is the tube that comes from the heart and delivers blood to the remainder of your body, this is probably something that you should get checked with your family doctor and move further if necessary

: While it is not feasible to rule out heart as the cause, it is unlikely. Regular exercise may helpful. Start slowly and gradually increase the duration and intensity of exercise. Drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless.

Nerves supplying: your chest ORIGINATE in the THORACIC spine (Upper back) and it sounds like you may be pinching a nerve causing referred pain in the chest!

Apply some HEAT to your upper back and STOP TWISTING until your pain subsides! CONSIDER PHYSICAL THERAPY (It is VERY effective with UPPER BACK issues!

i've had pain above my belly button and below my heart for almost 24 hours and upper back pain.  could it be something with my heart?

See a doctor: Without knowing your other symptoms or medical history, it would be hard to tell if it's heart related. The location of the pain could also due to pancreatitis, aorta problem, or stomach problem. I advise you to see a doctor or visit ER soon especially if the pain is not getting better.
