So the docusate is important to reduce the amount of strain or vasalva pressure you put on your entire system when you're constipated and trying to have a BM. So you are safe to keep constipation at bay by taking a stool softener (docusate).

Docusate Dose: You took about four times the normal dose of a stool softener. Don't worry too much. What most people do not realize is that docusate I not a laxative.  It only softens the stool which generally means less straining.  You will have very soft stools for a day or two; perhaps some extra bowel movements. However, I don't expect this to be a serious situation. Stay near a bathroom.

Yes: Docusate is safer because it really only softens the stool allowing it to transit through your system more easily.  It is not actually absorbed by your body.  Laxatives, while more effective in the short term, can potentially rob your body of needed electrolytes.  Use with caution.

Different: These are different drugs with different mechanism of actions.  It is like comparing an apple to an orange.  Biscodyl is a stimulant laxative directly working on the smooth muscles of the intestines.  Docusate is simply a stool softener working by allowing increased absorption of fat and water.
