Sometimes new environments will have viruses that take time to develop antibodies to protect:; however fever and weight loss are a concern and need to be carefully evaluated. Diarrhea after flu: This is very common after the stomach flu. As long as he has no blood in the stool, isn't unusually sleepy or otherwise acts strange, just give it a few days even a week. Avoid all juices and give extra starch. Yoghurt may help too.

I'd expect nothing: Eventful. Vocal cord polyps are usually benign.And the ENT specialist would do a biopsy for anything suspicious for cancer.
Drink lots of liquids, take vitamin c & lots of bed rest for your flu.
Follow up with your primary care dr for any concerns.
