Herpes simplex: Primary infections are generally more severe than recurrences and may last up to 10-14 days, although have seen cases more prolonged than that.  Yes, it will crust and scab over as it heals. Do not scrape off the crusting.  It will heal in time.

Some 2 weeks...: Its natural course may take 2-3 weeks to heal, but valacyclovir may shorten its course. 

Topically, keep the affected area as clean and dry as possible.

No: Genital ulcers are not always due to infection. There are diseases such as behcet;s syndrome in which genital ulcers are common. They are also seen in reiter's syndrome although it is controversial if this is secondary to infection or not.

STD finger: Yes you can get it by fingering. But not likely. Time will tell.

No cure: There is no cure for herpes. You can treat acute episodes with anti-herpes drugs.  If you have frequent outbreaks, you can take the drugs daily for prevention.

Herpes Is Herpes: There are two viruses. We do not label or name them now with 'oral' or 'genital'. The more common type is called herpes type one and the less common type is herpes type two.  If you have herpes you have herpes. Now the blood test should be accomplished to learn which type you have.

Herpes treatment: The are no medicines that have any benefit for herpes except acyclovir, valacyclovir and famciclovir. In the US and most industrialized countries, they require prescription. Don't be tempted by OTC meds or internet offers:  they won't work. Already having herpes, what do you mean by "not get infection"? To protect partners, you should be on daily treatment, e.g. valacyclovir or acyclovir.

HSV1 vs HSV2: The answers to these questions depend almost entirely on the virus type causing your genital herpes, i.e. herpes simplex virus type 1 vs 2. If HSV1, you may have no recurrences and transmission to sex partners infrequent. If HSV2, outbreaks typically recur every 2-4 months. Males and females have same symptoms:  blisters/sores, sometimes with swelling and pain of lymph nodes in the groin.
