Artificial tears: Artificial tears are a good initial option. Restasis (cycclosporine) is a prescription medication, which is used to treat dry eyes. Claritin (loratadine) may cause dry eyes.

If you have celiac disease and an IgE antibody to wheat., I would continue to strictly avoid gluten and wheat

Not likely: With the most common tests (PCR test for HSV DNA or viral culture) a false positive result is very unlikely. If you have had a positive swab test for HSV2 from a genital lesion, you have genital herpes. And lidocaine allergy is unlikely to cause herpes-like lesions. If this is a new infection, you should be on treatment with acyclovir or valacyclovir. Discuss with your doctor. Good luck.
