In only one way: Standard muscle relaxants will only help relieve the muscle tension component of anxiety. That in another itself may be a considerable relief. Best wishes. They will not however relieve the core symptoms of the anxiety disorder.

taking 0.5mg lorazepam as needed for anxiety & muscle relaxant/pain. how often is too often? if i take it 2 or 3 days in a row is that too much? if i take it a total of 6 times in a month? how do i know when i've used it often enough to need a taper?

Lorazepam: This med is not recommended for anxiety any longer because of addiction potential.  Discuss with your team.

i have pvcs often and i was put on paxil (paroxetine) 40 mg for them and the anxiety i get with them. i'm prehypertension.  are muscle relaxers safe to take with?

i take xanax for anxiety, i have pinched nerve in neck, what muscle relaxers are safe to take w/xanax and buspar (buspirone)?

Try a Neck Pro: Neck pro is an ingenious cerivical traction device developed by an er doc for his neck pain (usually the result of cervical disk disease or osteoarthritis).  You can purchase this on amazon.Com for ~$60. Have used it myself and on multiple patients with excellent results. Don't use if you have osteoporosis or neurological symptoms. Works best on chronic pain. Sometimes on acute symptoms.

i havnt been sleep that good lately and have been trouble sleeping at night, that why they put me on muscle relaxers. i got put on citlapram for panic attacks and clonazepram for anxiety and trazadone as needed for sleep.?

What is U question: Insomnia can have many causes, sleep hygiene is important for treating insomnia. It is ok to take sleeping medications if needed , but remember  to take them on as needed basis . If u take them daily u body can get used to it.  Remember  trazadone can cause orthostatic hypotension , so  if u wake up at night  before standing up sit  down a littlebit.

Some are: Muscle relaxants come from several different chemical classes.  Some, like methocarbamol (Robaxin) and cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) do not cause tolerance and withdrawal, while others (benzodiazepines and carisoprodol or Soma) are kinds of chemicals that cause receptors to re-regulate, resulting in tolerance and withdrawal.  Most muscle relaxants are sedating and will help anxiety.

Magnesium: With certain health problems, e.g. severe kidney disease, magnesium balance can be important to monitor and treat. Also, certain rare and serious problems in pregnancy require IV magnesium treatment. But there is absolutely no proved health need for magnesium supplements. They probably aren't harmful in the doses some reccommend, e.g. health food stores, vitamin producers. No help but no harm.

are there any side effects to taking epsom salt baths for muscle pain/anxiety relief (it helps)? how often should i include epsom salt in my baths?

Epsom salt baths: Epsom salt baths are fine. They are usually recommended for 3-4 times per week

Yes: Muscle relaxers depress or calm the nervous system. Some can be habit forming, too.  Take only as directed under your doctor's advice.
