No: You can't contract HIV from licking or kissing even an infected person.  Hiv risks are from IV drug abuse and unprotected sexual intercourse or other blood to blood exposures.

HIV: Whether or not you have hives that do not itch has nothing to do with whether or not you may have HIV disease.  If you think you may have been exposed go and go tested for this and for all other stds.  And be careful out there.

No risk, no worry: Exposure to sharps in the environment (used needles, someone's knife, etc) is listed as a possible risk for HIV, but in the 40 years of the worldwide HIV epidemic, there have been no reported cases of it actually happening except in health care providers caring for HIV+ patients. Any theoretical risk would require fresh, wet blood from an infected person easily visible on the knife.

Other than both being potentially transmitted by sexual intercourse you could have one or the other or both or any other of a number of sexually transmitted infections. Probably not: Candida infections of the mouth and esophagus are frequent findings in patients with hiv/aids, but candida infections especially of the mouth and skin are very common in patients with normal immunity especially those who have recently taken antibiotics.  The vast majority of people with candida infections do not have hiv/aids.

Partner infected?: Do you know if your sexual partner is infected with HIV?  The answer could be maybe if he has the disease.  You should always use protection with oral, vaginal, or anal sex as these are the most frequent ways it is passed along.
