The opposite: Some find that blueberries are good for minimizing constipation.  They are rich in fiber and can improve the colon.  But you would have to eat a lot of blueberries to make a difference as there are other and better sources of fiber if that is the goal.

Blueberries: Check with your doctor to see if you have diverticulitis. Eating blueberries may make this worse. It may be the small seeds. It appears that you need to avoid them :-(. All the best.

The best way to combat constipation is  to drink an adequate amount of water and ensure your diet is rich in fiber.  Sometimes, stool softeners such as docusate help treat constipation

Change his/her diet: Constipation often happens with toddlers. They are generally picky eaters. Increase water, fruits, veggies, fruit juices, and fiber. Have a daily poop schedule to encourage taking the time to defecate. If the problem continues you may need to see your doctor for stool softeners or laxatives.

No: Normal infants can go 7-10 days without a bowel movement, longer if they are breast fed.  Formula fed babies stool more frequently, and babies on soy formula stool the most frequently.  As physicians, we tend not to get worried, unless the baby is excessively fussy with attempts to stool.  All babies will get somewhat upset-you would too, if you had to lie on you back to stool! giving water helps.

Probably, but: For adults, periodic constipation, which resolve with simple means, is likely normal. However, regular bm's or a consistent pattern is the key to 'normality'. Any change in pattern in adults must be checked out.  Colon cancer, both sexes, is the most common killer, the easiest to detect in a precancerous state, the easiest to cure--if caught early. Colonoscopy--if it's time, get it done!

Risotto: Is an italian rice dish. If you have a diet that is high in this type of carbs and is lacking in vegetables, fruits, whole grains and other sources of fiber - constipation is more likely. But risotto does not in and of itself cause constipation.
