Positional vertigo: Please get examined by your PCP. You can try to use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Dramamine until seen.

i have 2 hard swollen lymph nodes on r. side of back of neck at hairline. hurts terribly to bend neck forward. headache and dizzy all day.  no fever.

See doctor: It is hard to tell what you may have based on the description.  For example, I am not sure the lymph nodes you described are indeed lymph nodes instead of bumps. If they start to blister , it may well be the early stage of shingles.  Since you are having headache and getting dizzy, it is time to see your doctor or go to the ER.

Otherwise healthy?: If yes, then that's a consideration. You're pretty young to have anything more serious unless there are other symptoms. You don't mention being anxious or having panic attacks. If those aren't present, you need to see your primary care doctor to insure no rheumatologist causes for the pain you're having.

Vertebral artery : If you have neck problems, the cause of dizziness can be benign or related to an interruption of blood flow in the vertebral artery. If this is a new problem, see a neurologist.

Neck distress: Muscle tension in the neck or back of the scalp can be caused by chronic stress or a strain. Dizziness in the form of lightheadedness may be related or could be due to other factors such as inner ear disorder,low blood pressure,anemia,etc. See your physician for an examination and perhaps a referral for stress management therapy will be made after his/her assessment rules out other problems.
