: You probably have overuse patellar tendinopathy from walking and running tends to localize to the mid-portion of the tendon and sometimes toward the insertion on the tibial tubercle. Icing, supportive taping, and patellar tendon straps are adjunctive treatments that provide some relief of symptoms. A short course of oral or topical NSAIDs can be used for analgesia.

Basically...: All four parts of the quadriceps muscle ultimately insert into the tibial tuberosity of the tibia. This is via the patella, where the quadriceps tendon becomes the patellar ligament, which then attaches to the tibia.

Are you using deer: Antler products to help?  In all seriousness that is a tough injury and will require careful rehab. The surgeon who did your repair should let you know the limits so you don't reinjure yourself.

Yes: Any time you have decreased range of motion as a result of tight muscles there is an increased risk of tendon and ligament injury.

Family practice: I usually refer to an orthopedist  for a surgical evaluation. But takin Ibuprofen and having physical therapy for a few weeks is what usually is recommended.
