6 weeks ago i had a c-section and my internal staples haven't dissolved yet, instead they are causing pain and ugly bumps in the scar. i'm also still suffering with night sweats and severe headaches.

Talk to your OB MD: You need to tell your OB MD these issues, as the wound/scar may not be healing as it may  be infected underneath the skin and may need to be re-opened to drain the infection to properly treat it. Low hormone levels post partum can cause night sweats especially if you are breast feeding. Have your OB MD to a thorough analysis including checking hormone levels and thyroid function.

? Intertrigo: skin changes in upper inner thigh can be from many reasons generally speaking its not serious.
It can be caused by local  bacterial or candidal infection or other skin conditions
these little scars need to be seen by doctor to define its cause and give you the appropriate advise

Accepted Answer

Scar: tissue may or may not cause complications depending on the extent and location.  For example, scar tissue next to small bowel(adhesion) could result in bowel obstruction.  Scar tissue in other locations may never cause a problem.

Stretch marks: From your description, it sounds like stretch marks.  It is hard to say for sure without seeing it.  These are not dangerous.  see photo.

Hyaluronidase won't: Hyaluronidase won't help scars.  It helps dissolve hyaluronic acid which is present between collagen fibers but scars are made up of dense collagen bundles which are not affected by hyaluronidase.

: It does not have that effect.

what would cause dissolvable stitches not to dissolve and still come up out of the scars from two different operations?

Accepted Answer

Possibly: It could be possible that those are not really dissolvable sutures. The other possibility is that your body may not be accepting or decomposing these stitches as expected. I would get a check if this is what's happening to you.

Not likely: You may be feeling the scarring inside your abdomen and not the uterus itself.

Post C/S pain: At about 8 weeks scar has formed. IT is not uncommon to have nerve entrapment especially is the incision was transverse )side to side.
