Put the 2 together and you've got a potentially more unstable situation.  There is, however, no controlled research using psilocybin (active ingredient in magic mushrooms) in patients with bipolar disorder.

Bad idea!!: It's great that you've been stable for so long with your bpad. Don't throw it out the window. Mdma and mushrooms are a really bad plan for anyone. Do yourself a gigantic favor and skip the experimenting with those drugs.

Realistically, why are you evaluating recreational drugs, and what goal do you have?  A little advice, your life will be far more productive and stable if you avoid drug usage as much as possible, and encourage family and companions to do same.
