4 stages: Primary: 1 chancre/sore or more painless sores at site of entry of syphilis bacterium. Lasts 3 - 6 weeks. If untreated progresses to Secondary stage: Skin rashes &amp; sores in mouth, vagina or anus. Onset when 1ary healed or few weeks later. May have fever, swollen lymph glands, sore throat. Untreated progresses to latent &amp; Tertiary stage. 1-many years late &amp; damage brain, joints etc.

Auto-inoculation?: Transfer of infection to a new area of the body is called auto-inoculation. It is very rare with syphilis, but might happen once in a while. Chancre of the mouth is uncommon and probably your tongue ulcer (or whatever you have noticed) isn't syphilis. But if you've possibly been at risk, don't take chances:  see a doctor and get tested. Autoimmune disease makes no difference one way or the other.

Many symptoms: You get syphilis through unsafe sex. It can cause a painless ulcer on  your genitals.  But it can also cause a rash, fever, large lymph nodes, many other symptoms. It can also lead to other more serious complications. If you think you may have a sti, get tested!

You're good: Consider yourself healthy. Nobody's sure how many folks recover on their own and have their tests revert, but you can relax. Although I hope you'll use barrier protection until you're in a stable marriage, I also hope you'll cherish the memory of having shared love, as imperfect as it always is.

NEVER: If you have 2nd stage syphilis, get correct therapy. Clobetasol is not good for syphilis.

Unusual statement: You don't get syphilis by masturbating.You get it from an infected person having some form of sexual contact or you are born with it passed down by your mother.Latent syphillis is curable with antibiotic treatment although some of the damaage done by the germs may not return to normal.

can psoriasis cause biological false positive syphilis (rpr)? can i have bfp syphilis and have nothing wrong with me and never get autoimmune disease?

Yes: Autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis can cause false positive tests for syphilis but is is more common in patients with lupus than psoriasis. As there are other possible causes for a false positive test, I would not assume that it is the psoriasis.

Syphilis serology: test should certainly be repeated. Then consult with venereologist, gynecologist or infectious disease Dr. if positive. Fortunately prognosis after antibiotic treatment is excellent.

None: Unfortunately Cipro or Bactrim would not treat any of herpes, hepatitis or syphilis. Talk to your treating doc about options based on your confirmed conditions.

Mumps: HIV and syphilis are not likely to cause pain in testes. Bacterial infection of the testes and epididymus can cause testicular pain. Passing crystals and stones in urine can cause referred pain in testes. Infection with mumps virus can cause inflammation and pain in testes in addition to salivary gland and pancreas.
