Various causes: This is a common question that really does not have a very specific answer without an exam. Eyelid Dermatitis: Eyelid dermatitis refers to a contact dermatitis, allergic or irritant, affecting the eyelids. It’s a very common problem and the commonest skin disease of the eyelids. Treatment is to remove the offending agent and use mild topical cortisone.

sudden onset pain in left lower eyelid. no visible redness or swelling. hurts to blink and look down. feels like a bruise, no discoloration?

The Eyes Have It: A common side for those who drive with the window down. Maybe a small foreign body (if it won't wash out, see a doctor), or the start of a stye ('hordeolum'), which is a small infection of the eyelid that can eventually get pretty big. Get in the shower and rinse the eye good. If that helps, wait and see if an infection develops (red, swollen), if not, read the first sentence again.

little bit of a discolored patch under the iris of my left eye & the inside of the eyelid seems overgrown. don't know if it's new. eye exam in feb ok.

When in doubt...: check it out. If you are fairly vigilant with acknowledging changes around your face, this may be something new. If it is new and quickly changing it could be a sign of something malignant, like melanoma. Get it checked out specifically by the eye doctor. Better to be safe. Good luck!

bubbling or bulging of a clear film on my sclera when i move my eyes side to side. also, there's yellowish brown discoloration around iris that seems to be moveable as well under lower eyelid too?

Causes of chemosis: Bruce, It looks like you have some fluid that accumulated under the conjunctiva (the clear film covering your sclera) and this is called chemosis. It can be clear, pinkish or yellowish.  
Is it on both sides? 
How long has it been there and what were you doing when it started?
Is it painful? 
Have you tried using artificial tears?
There are many things that cause this, need more info.

why are the whites of my eyes discolored in some areas, especially between eyelid? yellow spots not raised. not jaundiced - no bilirubin in urine.

Yellow conjunctiva: Hmmm. all of my eyes are between my eyeliner. Need good picture. Recommend you ask your Dr to look and tell about your concern. You can also google yellow spots on conjunctive and look at images to see if you can match up. But better to show to your Dr.

post blepharoplasty 1+year.   milia under lower eyelids.   removed in-office.  grew right back.   surgically removed resulting in discoloration, lines & yellow raised bump-line-channel under one eye.  injected filler dissolver with little result?

: You may benefit from IPL / BBL (broad band laser) to prevent this.  Don't think that filler is the answer. Also, very benign microneedling might help.  No more surgery or filler in this situation in my opinion.

on both hands my fingers get tingling,ru6ght hip pain,right foot and toe discoloration ,had sev tests and do have minor narrowing near ankle,right eyelid is swollen every morning also. any specific tests i can ask for to get a doc to find the cause?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Accepted Answer

Usually : One of 3 causes; bacterial or viral infection or allergies.  Sometimes difficult to distinguish between the 3 causes, but viral conjunctivitis is usually occompainied by cold-like symptoms and allergic may be occompainied by other allergic symptoms like runny nose and sneezing. Bacterial usually has heavy drainage causing eye to be matted shut.  If you have a painful red eye, see your doc urgently.
