No! : Different disease. ANA titer is irrelevant!  more important are the panel markers.

i had a biopsy for localized discoid lupus.  it came back positive.  blood work shows 1:80 ana, negative for ds-dna and negative for sm antibody.  should i be concerned that i also have sle?

Not Fair: Every person is a different element that we have to figure out what works best for your body. You might have to try a few different medications before you find which works best for you! don't give up after just one med doesn't work. What works for one patient might not for another with the same condition. It's what makes us unique and what makes being a doctor so confusing.

Cortisone crea,s: For mild cases topical steroids can help. However if it is not totally responsive to topical steroids or there is potential for scarring oral plaque nil is used. An eye exam is required at baseline ad at 6 month intervals to check for loss of peripheral vision.
