It only causes problems under certain circumstances. This condition can only be controlled but not cured. 4 weeks of Diflucan (fluconazole) is enough to control your current

Hidrinitis can be complicated by a bacterial - this can be treated with doxycycline. Depending what part of the immune system is affected, you could have two processes going on.

Many ways to treat: There are many ways to treat tinea versicolor (tv).  Tv is caused by a yeast that is not contagious.  You can use over the counter selenium sulfide shampoos or over the counter Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo  several times per week to keep tv away.  Your doctor may also want you to pulse the Fluconazole every 4 weeks.  We do this in the warm, humid months.
