Actually not: Diflucan is to prevent a super infection with candida but oral mucositis is treated with mixtures of topical anesthetic, benadryl, (diphenhydramine) and steroid, which might predispose to candida.

my 24 year-old cousin tested positive for covid on his throat swab. now he is complaining of sore throat. can we give him difflam throat spray (benzydamine hydrochloride)? i used the same for throat pain when i underwent tonsillectomy.

COVID concerns: Benzydamine is  nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that acts as a local anesthetic for  inflammation of mouth and throat. Although this can be used, if he develops other symptoms- it may be beneficial to take an oral medication that would effect the whole body (like acetaminophen or an NSAID).  WHO reversed it's previous recommendations against use of NSAID's.

i have inner cheek trauma from bitting and its so painful. is salt water gaggle better than difflam c & difflam gel? what is the fastest way to cure?

Morsicatio buccarum?: rinse with warm salt water 3-4 times a day, Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen) (one tablet every 3-4 hours as needed for pain) work well to alleviate the tenderness and discomfort. Also apply compounded topical cream. If you have been suffering from chronic cheek biting (Morsicatio buccarum), then it is best to visit the dentist and get the cause and the condition treated at the earliest.

Sore throat: a good home remedy is to mix cherry flavored children's diphenhydramine with cherry flavored antacid in equal amounts in a jar or bottle  take a sip as needed to numb the throat.

Gagging: Perhaps the difflam spray isn't helping. It is prescribed for sore throat which you didn't complain of. I would discontinue it.There are exercises to reduce overactive gag reflex and specifically reduce gagging when brushing your teeth. Google " exercises to reduce hypersensitive gag reflex".

Take papain and brome lain to reduce scratch symptoms
Ask doctor for topical anesthetic
