Yes: You can have sleep problems from snoring, apnea, restless legs, poor sleep hygeine, anxiety/depression, napping during the day, night seizures, noises in the neighborhood waking you up, bed bugs, waking up to use the bathroom, acid reflux, allergies, or any number of things. Most pets are nocturnal so they will wake you up if they are in your bedroom. Get them their own bed in another room.

Can't stay asleep: After going to sleep initially, u keep waking up in middle of night (interrupted sleep). Also called terminal insomnia, as opposed to initial insomnia (can't fall asleep). Many factors can cause that, from idiopathic (unknown) to metabolic, to endocrine to medications or medical problems or psychiatric such as mood disorders.

Lots of factors can contribute to difficulty staying asleep, such as Sleep Apnea, Caffeine/Alcohol/meds, stress, depression, physical problems or pain.  Functioning and alertness during the daytime are the best indicator of how u r sleeping

Sleep: If possible recommend identifying a period when you can sleep consistently each day, preferably for 6 hours, including off days - consistency for onset/awakening is key for establishing good sleep patterns. A provider visit may be helpful for establishing a concurrent sleep aid. If the shifts vary (ie, night hours one day and day hours the next) achieving restful sleep becomes dificult.

Hypersensitivity: Insomnia or overactive thyroid or anxiety may be the cause. Have some blood test for your thyroid function . If normal thyroid function then insomnia and anxiety should be looked at it as a cause and should be investigated.

Doctor Visit: Stop all coffee and any smoking after 6 pm. Try to set a sleep routine like go to bed at same time. Turn on Tv or turn off TV sometimes helps with sleeping.
