Annulus weakness: It is believed that there is usually an inherent weakness in the annulus which is the covering of the disc.  The actual cause of the weakness is not clear but may be related to stress/injury that has lead to a small tear. This then allows the nucleus pulposus to push out through the weakness thus leading to the "ruptured" left or right sided disc.

Yes: It would be safe, certainly.  The question is whether or not it will be effective.  But you should not be concerned that there is any danger in pursuing it.

Spinal diagnoses: The designators T5 etc. refers to thoracic vertebraes # 5,6,7.  Herniations are a radiographic description of the disc (between bone) sticking out a little or sometimes more. Protrusion is another name for herniation and extrusion is a word for a break in the disc outer wall with loss of some of the disc contents (usually very painful).  These are anatomical terms and do not refer to funtion

Not too much: They both indicate a disc which may be causing pressure on adjacent nerve structures
generally speaking the herniated is worse than the protruding.

Many: Treatment for symptomatic degenerative disc disease and disc herniations depends on the severity of your symptoms.  If you don't have any neurologic deficit, such as weakness, numbness, or bowel/bladder incontinence, you can first try conservative therapy with stretching, strengthening, and anti-inflammatories.  If these don't provide relief, you should consult with a pain doctor.

These results discribed are disk disease/degenerative changes, there is nothing described to tell of how sever eit is so it is difficult to know what the extent is without seeing the images. The most important thing concerning the MRI is to make sure the finding are consistent with your symptoms in order to tell if it is of any concern. As we age, most of us have the abnormalities as described in your report, but the importance is deciding if this is the cause of your symptoms. This should be done by your doctor.

Size: Bulging discs are normal findings on imaging studies while disc herniations are discs that have moved out of there normal position. Disc bulges do not cause symptoms.  A disc herniation is an actual passage of the disc's inner core or nucleus passing thru the outer part or annulus of the disc where a disc bulge does not result in any part if the disc out of its normal alignment of material.

Pain Location: Fibromyalgia is diffuse body aches and pains commonly associated with unexplained fatigue and depression.

Myofacial is pain only limited to the face. 

Herniated neck disc pains is neck pains, diffuse headaches and radicular arm pains.

Rarely: Discs do reabsorb or retract over time but this is over a prolonged period.  If the nerve is injured and there is radiculopathy you will likely lose function over time. It is best to be evaluated and followed closely
