Check w/your: Doctor. The cyst is of no importance. Thyroid nodules are rarely painful. If your's are, it needs further investigation.

Depends: A complex thyroid nodule that is bigger than 1 cm in diameter should be biopsied (a simple procedure that can be done under ultrasound in an endocrinologist's office).  The sample obtained can generally determine whether the nodule is benign.  If so, no further testing is required unless the nodule grows unexpectedly.

Small: They are very small. I wouldn't do anything to them except maybe look at them again in 1 year to make sure they are not growing.

last 2019 my right thyroid nodule measures 1.05 x 1.5 x 0.78 cm: volume 0.45cc . this yr i had my utz and my nodule now is 1.7 x 1.53 x 1.19cm: volume 1.6cc and theres another that grows but cyst. is this a rapid/aggresive growth? is this suspicious?

: Are u on thyroid meds?   I would ask your local sonographer and Dr what is variation in thyroid scans by this Tech using same machine.  And then ask them if they think they are larger. One may also feel change in nodule size sometimes so ask your examining Dr if it has changed. Need family history of thyroid issues and thyroid tests then and now.  Get that info &amp; share with Dr. Seems bigger to me.

Common. Don't worry: Many people have nodules as they get older. Don't worry about them if they are less than 1cm in size. When and if they get bigger, then we biopsy the solid ones and aspirate the fluid with a needle.

is it normal for one complex thyroid nodule on the left lobe to turn in to multiple complex cysts on the opposite lobe over the span of one year?

Often multiple: It is not that the nodule on one is spreading to the other side, but the process responsible for the cyst on one side is also active on the other side. Thyroid nodules are often bilateral and multiple, some may be detected sooner than others.

Solid nodule: Solid nodules on thyroid imaging need to be evaluated by your primary health care provider to see if further testing is indicated to make sure they are benign.

: Unlikely that they will all disappear.  Your provider most likely recommended a monitoring interval (6-12 months probably) to repeat the thyroid ultrasound. This is meant to assess the stability of these lesions. As long as your thyroid function is normal, the current small size of the nodules makes them not dangerous

Maybe: Glad you are getting it repeated. Usually these are slow growers and if you comply with instructions when you get your results, you will probably be okay.
