Could be yeast: try either miconazole or clotrimazole cream to the area twice daily and follow up with your physician.

Candida: Candida or yeast can certainly create these symptoms and presentation.  You can get a prescription from your doctor. In the meantime, cut out all sugar and yeast from your diet, keep the area clean and dry and you will start to feel better.

hi. i have a bad case of jock itch for 8 years. it itches like crazy mainly  if i eat bread or anything sweet. i tried tea tree oil, and applied it directly on it. it burned like hell, but the next day it was gone. now it's back. what do i do?

Stop self treating: Get examined. You will need to stop any oils which will "lock in" any fungal infection. You will need to be examined,placed on both oral antifungal antibiotic and a cream that contains antifungal and cortisone medications. 8 years is a bit absurd...and you now have a chronic skin condition. Consider a dermatology evaluation.

Bump: Could be but could also be molluscum or herpes. Have it checked by your doctor, urologist or dermatologist.

This : This is unlikely shingles since the rash itself has lasted months. Perhaps it is a fungal infection or folliculitis or eczema or psoriasis?  I would recommend you see a dermatologist and get an accurate diagnosis so you can start good treatment to help your symptoms.  It is quite common to have these conditions in that location. I hope that helps a little.

Herpes  Simplex II: Consists of a cluster of lesions that look like blisters. The lesions can appear on the penis, anus, labia or cervix ; they can spread, coalesce followed by crusting over. Jock itch often appears as reddened skin extending from the groin crease to the upper thighs. It may scale ; the outer edge could have small blisters. It can burn ; itch.

Slow Down: Anus itching is not in any way a symptom of herpes.  First, congratulation on having a sexual encounter.  Second, what is the real problem here?  Getting a hand job does not in any way put your anus at risk for anything. Why would you even spend a second trying to connect the two?

Can take time: Herpes lesion appear periodically with varying time intervals and various stimuli. Having herpes does not rule of shingles.
