Not likely, but...: Coke (diet or regular) and most other soft drinks are acidic and can irritate the stomach, and therefore not likely to help most stomach aches. On the other hand, sugar free coke is harmless in moderate amounts. If you find it helps, there's no problem in continuing. If not, try an antacid. That that also doesn't help, see a doctor. Bland diets don't!: Bland diets were the staple of gastritis and ulcer treatment for years.  They did not work.  Paradoxically, spicy foods, stimulate the stomach with time to produce cytoprotective prostaglandings which inhibit gastritis and ulcer. People with a spicy and hot diet have fewer ulcers than people who live on bland diets (mexico vs us). The transition takes time but occurs. See your doctor for meds!

See family doctor: This can be a symptom of so many things that a thorough history and physical exam needs to be performed.  In addition to dietary factors, stress, reflux/heartburn, allergies, and many other issues can be a cause.  Blood work and md visit will begin to narrow the possibilities.

Depends: Gluten free diet is certainly indicated in patients with celiac disease aka gluten-sensitive enteropathy. It may also help in other conditions such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth or some forms of ibs.
However if you have not been diagnosed with the above conditions or have not been evaluated by a physician for your stomach pain you may be delaying treatment of a possibly serious problem.

: You don't mention how long you've been on dietary measur &amp; medications for the chronic gastritis or whether h pylori was present. I think you should notify your gastroenterologist, who knows your endoscopic findings,  of these nocturnal bouts of pain to determine whether they are part of the natural history of your mild chronic gastritis or whether another gasroscopy or other testing are advisable

it depends on why you have stomach pain. If it is peptic acid disease, it may help but that would require diagnosis and specific therapy.
