It depends: If the colonoscopy is negative, he can eat a normal diet as soon as he is alert. If diverticulae (out-pouching) are present he may be placed on a high-fiber diet.

on the white diet am i allowed white wine?

AVOID: That is an interesting question. I would try and stay away from wine before your colonoscopy because of all the restrictions. It will not be for that long.

Call your doctor...: ...who will want to know how much dairy you consumed, and how compliant otherwise you were with his/her prep instructions. Appropriate to what they hear, they may ask you to proceed with colonoscopy as scheduled, or reschedule.

Precolonoscopy: Generally you are placed on a very low residue, basically liquid diet starting a week before the examination. Your colonoscopist should be asked this question,however.

No: Chocolate can be constipating. Soft bland or semi solid diet only.

Lime popsicles: Colonoscopy prep can be tolerated when lime popsicles are added to your clear liquid, non red food list. Get the low calorie type.

Define clear liquids: "clear liquids" are any food that is not solid at room ; body temperature that will allow sunlight to pass through: ice pops, jello, broth without particles, juices without particulates, water, light tea. Avoid red-dyed foods that may leave residue that looks like blood to the colonoscopist. Confirm your selection with the performing doctor--you don't want to have to re-do the test due 2 bad prep.

is pedialite considered a med. if your about to have a colonoscopy or can it be considered the day before on the liquid diet bc of the electroylites?

Should be fine: You should be fine to drink Pedialite the day before a colonoscopy if they instructed you to be on liquid diet.  You can always call the doctor's office to confirm if you are unsure.

Probably a slice or: ...two shouldn't be a problem. Would avoid an accompanying soda however to minimize additional bloat.
