Possible: That medication works best when present continuously in the vaginal for the full three dose cycle.  It may work if used intermittently.

Not a good idea.: I would rather you take oral Fluconazole during the postpartum period for fear of ascending infections reaching your uterus.

i took amoxicillin-clav  2weeks ago now i feel vaginal dryness and. itching was told to use monistat can i use the three day one instead of the 7?

Yeast infection: Antibiotics like Augmentin (amoxicillin-clavulanate) can trigger vaginal yeast infections, and the main symptom usually is itching; "dryness" also can go along with it. Monistat is a standard treatment for yeast. The 3 day version is just as effective as 7 days, so feel free. Check back with your doctor if the symptoms don't clear up in a few days.

what can i do to prevent a secondary infection due to damage to a condom by monistat. we used a latex condom, i used monistat one three days ago?

More than once.: This sounds like a yeast infection and not usually related to a condom. If you mean a recurrent infection due to yeast the monistat needs to be used for several days. Follow the directions. If cream use for seven days, if suppository follow the directions depending on the dose. if used properly it takes care of the yeast infection most of the time.

i used monistat 1-day ovule for yeast infection. three days later i put in my nuvaring. is that safe? will the monistat ovule have dissolved by now? will the ovule affect the nuvaring in any way?

No interaction: There is no interaction between the medicated antifungal ovules and your hormonal NuvaRing. You should avoid sexual intercourse until your infection is completely cleared as recurrence can occur.
