Gastric reflux: You are probably having reflux(backing up) of stomach acid into your food pipe(esophagus) which is causing the belching. It is happening right after eating because stomach acid production starts with food entering the stomach. You need to try medications like Maalox, Mylanta, Pepcid (famotidine) AC, Prilosec OTC which can help symptoms. You also need to stay upright at least 45 minutes after eating.

Many: Ibs, inflamatory bowel disease, infections, side effects of meds especially some meds like antibiotics  and some otc supplements. Just to name a few. You need labs , stool sample and probably a colonoscopy.

Look Deeper: A wise mentor told me 20 years ago, that when a patient's symptoms don't improve - expand the search and look much deeper, something is being overlooked. If a patient returns to the ER a 3rd time, strongly consider admitting them and obtaining consultations from other doctors.

Any person with the symptoms mentioned is concerning and warrant prompt reevaluation.

Diarrhea: When red meat is not cooked properly or is kept in the refrigerated condition for a long time, the possibility of diarrhea increases manifold. Consumption of red meat that is infected with a bacterium called Escherichia coli is one of the most common causes of food poisoning. 
Maybe he should get a stool culture. Keep him well hydrated and if there is fever, and diarrhea continues go to the ER.

Possibly related: Increasing your fluid intake may have loosened your bowel movements just as not enough fluid intake may result in constipation. Count other sources of your fluid intake to see if you're exceeding 8 eight ounce glasses of fluid per day. If troublesome diarrhea persists it may also be a viral infection or a food intolerance. If bowel function doesn't return to normal,see your MD for evaluation.

i have bowel urgency with very foul smelling loose stools usually after eating any food (any type) in the am.  dx w celiac > 10 yr gluten free?

See a GI doctor: This could be one of several things, including infection, IBS, non-infectious inflammation, etc. In order to evaluate would need more history and an exam and the GI doctor may well want a colonoscopy. Go and be assessed professionally. Best wishes.

More info?: Many things can cause that.  How long does it last? Anything make it better?  Any fevers?   Have you had any surgery ? Have you tried any medications? Did they work?  Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc?  Has anyone done any studies? Need a bit more info?  Possible causes: gallbladder? Pneumonia? Food allergies? Intolerances ? IBD, IBS , etc
