Not likely: but smoking in general is bad and worse for diabetics who may have vascular complications

Horrible: Smoking= even if control sugar well, which should markedly reduce diabetic complications- they are not reduced at all if you smoke

alcohol more related to poor sugar control, highs  and lows

but it also increases risk of diabetic nerve disease.

No: Higher risk does not mean all, in fact most do not have it.

Not recommended: Regardless, smoking is a health hazard for anyone. Surely, one cigarette per year is not dangerous at all, but what is the point? Smoking is not cool anymore.

Get hurt: Any really dirty wound or an injury to the bowel invites gas gangrene.

Yes: Well, you can pass out from smoking hookah for the first time but that is anybody not experienced with smoking (anything) or those with circulatory or respiratory conditions. However, it is unlikely that just having diabetes type 1 will cause adverse events when smoking a hookah unless your blood sugars are not controlled.

what causes the placenta to be ging faster than it should be and cause the baby isnt growing. i don't smoke. dont have diabetes or hbp. help! scared. ?

Blood clots: Placental insufficiency often due to increased tendency to blood clots. Tell your md to do a thrombophilia workup, particularly factor v leiden, prothrombin gene, factors viii and xi.

Diabetes: No, not yet. Just eat healthy, exercise, and check your HGB a1c periodically to be safe. So far you are okay.

diabetes risk: If you are at risk for diabetes, you may wish to get a glucose and/or a1c checked once per year.  More often if you start to develop symptoms.  It is probably not necessary more often than that.

i have a small paper cut on my finger that hasnt healed for a couple of weeks. i dont have diabetes, drink, smoke, etc so what could be the problem?

Paper cut: Paper cuts represent two sharp edges and they are difficult to adhere to one another. Hence, the healing process takes longer
