Usually not...: but drugs like insulin / sulfonylureas, if causing low blood sugar= hypoglycemia, will result in acute sweating

Unclear: Your husband could have virtually anything. His symptoms are entirely non-specific. He needs a thorough evaluation. Some of the possibilities could be very serious.  If his illness is acute, i wouldn't delay.

Nope: non that I know except that LOW blood sugar is sometimes accompanied by sweating.

Hope this is helpful (a simple blood test during the sweating episode should answer that possibility)

Unlikely: If you became ill after eating sweet stuff you might be in ketoacidosis rather than hypoglycemia.  You need to keep closer tabs on your blood sugar.

Diabetes: No you probably don't have diabetes.You need to find out why you might have had hypoglycemia. I would have your PCP refer you to an Endocrinologist near you.

Hyper sweat: If you continue to have sweaty palms and feet without any apparent reason, or if they sweat out of proportion to the stimulus, then i would see your doctor for a possible hyperhidrosis problem.

Vasovagal?: Most likely vasovagal in younger person but getting evaluated would provide reassurance.

Night sweats: Are seen in many conditions including diabetes. In diabetes they are due to a low blood sugar at night. Other frequent conditions are infections and cancers that can cause severe night sweats.

Yes: Endocrinologist deal with problems of hormones and glass diabetes and thyroid are the most common. Extreme sweating can be due to a thyroid imbalance or other hormone problem.
