how effective is dextrostat for adult adhd?

Short-acting dextro-: amphetamine marketed as Dextrostat was off the market for a while. Onset of action is 20-60 minutes, peak effect is  at 1-2 hours &amp; duration is 4-6 hours. requiring multiple daily doses timed for onset prior to waning of the previous dose. Single daily- dosed Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) &amp; Adderall last ~ 12-14 hours &amp; have lower risk of diversion. Monitor heart rate &amp; blood pressure when on any form of amphetamine.

i cannot use dextromethorphan due to other medication i take.   is there any prescription orover the counter cough suippressant i can take?

Benzonatate: benzonatate plus or minus guaifenesin is an alternate.  I assume the conflicting meds you take are one of the SSRI or SSNRI antidepressants.  The conflict is that concurrent use may cause the serotonin syndrome.

Robitussin (guaifenesin): Plain Robitussin dm, (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) not the cough and cold form, is ok. The cough and cold form can raise bp.

Probably not: I can't find any reports showing that tests for narcotics could be positive taking dextromorphan in low doses, but if a test was extremely sensitive, it might.  Try being safe by switching to another OTC cough medicine

i od'd on 700 mg of dextromethorphan hbr a month ago and since then i've been constantly spaced out and anxious. what could be causing this?

Many things: Dextromethorphan itself can cause a sense of anxiety.  As dextromethorphan overdose is associated with seizures, it is also possible that you are experiencing a sense of being spaced out for this reason, or for some others.  I would suggest you consult your doctor for a real work up to find out what, if any, damage the overdose may have caused.
