Not accurately.: Decadron (dexamethasone) is a pawerful anti-inflammatory steroid, which has a half-life of about 36 hours, which means on day 4, you have the equivalent of 2 mg of Decadron (dexamethasone) in your body, which is enough to decrease skin testing. Serum testing is also innaccurate at this point, will need to wait another 2 weeks for skin testing, up to 6 weeks for blood testing.

Steroids &amp; weight: Corticosteroids such as prednisone and dexamethasone are associated strongly with weight gain.  Although some antihistamines have been associated with some degree of weight gain, this is not seen as much, and I do not believe it is a problem with cetirizine.  The decision to treat with steroids occurs after weighing risks/benefits.

im 35. no medical illness or taking any meds. no allergies. i took dexamethasone 8mg 1 dose only. i have rashes at groin, leg and neck. i also have insomnia. wht should i do? should i be worry? how long it last? is this dangerous for health?

: Are you worried about the dexamethasone, which is equivalent to 50 mgs of prednisone, or the rash?  The dexamethasone can cause insomnia or stomach irritation, elevation of pulse &amp; BP but side effects will gradually wear off in a day or so since it's a one time dose. Your MD or a dermatologist will have to advise you about your rash.

Get a second opinion: Firtst, clean lashes with a 50% solution on warm water and baby soap. Next, get a sexcond opinion or a different eye mediciation- you may be sensitive to the Tobra Dex. 10 months is simply too long.

went to eye doc- eyelid was red and swollen. got an antibiotic ointment (neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates & dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment) but not sure if allergy or dirt. taken 1 day. super dizzy, & eye feels all better. can i stop taking it?

: Probably this needs treatment for a few days; the immediate improvement probably is from the dexamethasone, but the antibiotics probably need more time to work. Follow the instructions with the prescription, or call the doctor's office if still uncertain. The ointments are not the cause of your dizziness.
