Not likely: From what we know about venous anomalies, they are asymptomatic. This should not be the cause of the severe headaches. A headache specialist like a neurologist may be able to help.

Developmental venous: Developmental venous anomaly, also known as DVA or venous angioma, is a benign -not dangerous formation of veins that drain into the larger central vein.  The anomaly does not require surgery or other treatment.  No restriction on activity necessary.  Okay to lift weights.

45 year old patient. how much of an increased risk does he have if he is taking a blood thinner (eliquis) of having a hemorrhagic stroke? does the risk go up if he also have a dva (developmental venous anomaly). by how much?

Accepted Answer

: Taking a "blood thinner" such as Eliquis will not actually cause bleeding (as with a ruptured blood vessel causing a hemorrhagic stroke), but may prolong the hemorrhage if not pharmacologically arrested. Anticoagulant therapy for other reasons (coronary thrombosis) is important to prevent heart attacks, and other clotting related damage.

Right frontal lobe: The frontal lobes control executive functioning (planning, multi-tasking), memory, expression of emotions, personality. The right frontal lobe also controls the motor function of the left side of the body. Importantly, developmental venous anomalies aren't usually clinically significant. Rate of disable. : Theoretically, 100% people get disabled due to degenerative process if people live long enough.  However, for those who are less than retired age, injury or medical disorder should not mean disabled, especially chronic degenerative process. It is possible for temporally disabled and should be able to return to work after treatment or after modified work load or type.

See below: Apraxia is difficulty forming sounds into words.  The reason for developmental apraxia is unclear. It is not caused by weak muscles. Your child may be able to smile, eat, and make other movements normally. The problem is coordinating all the muscles used to speak.

Sensory: Yes.  As neurodevelopmental systems progress, maturity occurs. It can be accelerated by occupational therapy as well.

Patiently...: Toilet {or "potty"} training is difficult in and of itself; throwing any disability into the mix adds another level of difficulty.  Sometimes the 'team' approach is best; and positive reinforcement is helpful.  I do not know the exact nature of the disability so i cannot be more specific except do draw from my own parenting experience...When your child is ready then it happens; and  not before.
