They are not: They are completely different things. Chelation is the administration of  agents to remove heavy metals from the body. It has a long history of use in clinical toxicology. Ionic foot detox are spa treatments that might feel good, and provide no clinical benefits beyond that.

working from home within no form of exercise or walking, just sitting the whole day. now my feet have red spots and they swell up and they painful. went to the doc and i still feel headache/nausea?

Missing nutrients?: I would be concerned that you might be missing one or more critical nutrients in your detox diet that could be affecting your feet, but also you must try to work some activity into your sedentary lifestyle: get up &amp; walk some laps around your house/apartment every hour or so (better outside if possible, but inside can work).   Maybe review carefully what is in &amp; not in the diet.

Doubtful: The skin is a barrier against things entering our body...Or leaving it. The odds of a patch, chinese or otherwise, being able to selective suck out toxins are fairly slim. They are deigned to change color on contact to moist skin, giving the appearance of having removed something harmful.

for 2 yrs, i have 2 white patches on the heels of my feet only when wet. there are no pits, no wounds, no lesions, no calluses. i used a foot stone to scrub it off but it no longer works and is spreading. derm doesnt know, nor does family doc. help?

: If a dermatologist perceives nothing abnormal, even when dry, probably nothing is wrong. This seems like nothing to worry about.

Sorry for what you: are dealing with.  There are Chinese pain patches that are helpful for some folks. They have herbs in them which are absorbed through the skin.  Seek out a Chinese medicine doc in your area.  Peace and good health.  I've had a number of patients do well with them.

No way to tell : Unfortunately, dietary supplements are regulated as foods (as opposed to drugs).  As such, they are not required to undergo the same testing (or prove their claims to be true). Also, since no third party testing of their product is required - the ingredients listed don't even have to match what is in the bottle.  Wish I had a better answer ... Good luck!

No. We are not tox'd: Humans and other living beings are absolutely amazing in that they routinely take in foods (raw materials), keep the needed and useful elements, and remove the unneeded parts (waste products). Life processes are complicated, but except in cases of gene mutations, they do not leave people full of "toxins." Usually, the one thing that detox programs will remove is, of course, money from your wallet.

rids some poop: Yeah, this was a popular idea in ancient egypt, but was disproved decades ago. You will get rid of some stool. No one ever measured "toxins" supposedly removed  before  and after the rx to see if it worked. Pt of mine insisted on high colonics as bowel prep for colonoscopy-failed; had redo the prep and the procedure. Empty bowel may look flatter, maybe you feel better, but not detoxed.
