No: B12 injections would not interfere with weight loss. You may need to reduce you intake of food more than you have done. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form.

Get 2nd opinion: B12 isn't really the best thing for weight loss. I'd ask another physician to review what's been done by the physician who's been doing the injections.

No effect expected: Shots of vitamins b6, b12, or other vitamins should not have an effect on one's weight. The only way for a normal, overweight person to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than he uses up each day. His body will burn up fat to get the additional needed calories that he himself is not eating.

Shot: The B12 is probably not the problem, but the shot itself might have caused some irritation in your abdominal wall muscle.  I would anticipate this to resolve, but if not get checked.

No: Vitamin B12 is needed for making  blood cells, proper function of the nervous system and for the function of many enzymes in the body. It doesn't have a major effect on weight.

None: There is no good clinical studies that show that any of these injections will assist with weight loss.  Eating fewer calories, burning more with exercise are the only real way to lose weight and keep it off.

Inadequate digestion: I should start by saying that it is possible to be deficient in vitamin B12 even with an elevated blood test.  Common causes of an elevated MCV are inadequate absorption of vitamins in your gastrointestinal tract, excess alcohol intake and other medications.  If you have a normal diet it may be advisable to have additional blood work performed to ensure that you are adequately digesting nutrients.

No: You should be fine if your last HCG shot was 3 weeks ago(weight loss injections use very small dose) vit B12  is water soluble, eliminated in about 24 hrs. I assume you are talking about routine labs.

I hope so: If he monitors your progress and counsels you on weight loss with exercise and proper diet as well, it sounds as though it is fine, as witnessed as people losing weight  "weight clinics" such as this aren't always about the shots you get, but more about being motivated to lose and do as instructed, especially since your probably paying for it, you want to assure you are getting your monies worth.
