I'm assuming: You're talking about the hand gripper that you find sporting good stores.  I don't think this single thing leads to carpal tunnel I do think that if you have carpet tunnel mouth case and you do too much of anything that's repetitive you can make the carpal thompson feel worse of times in addition carpal tunnels often progressive problem so sometimes it's just seems that the activity makes it worse but it just gets worse anyway if you don't have carpal tall symptom symptoms now that i wouldn't worry about using a hand gripper.

Not necessarily: Although some activities, work related or daily routine, can aggravate or exacerbate carpal tunnel syndrome, not all activities can cause the condition.

Dorsal wrist pain: Can be from tendonitis, synovitis ( swelling in the joints), arthritis, tendon avulsion or injury or tear, wrist ligament injury, diseases of  carpal bone that affect the blood supply such as keinbocks ( lunate) and preisers ( scaphoid)  old fracture, new fracture, non union of fracture, ganglion, benign tumor, malignant tumor, nerve injury, vascular issues and more.

Yes: Prolonged carpal tunnel syndrome can lead to atrophy ( shrinking) of the muscles of your thumb with subsequent hand weakness. This can be permanent. You should be evaluated by a hand surgeon.

EMG or MRI: It is difficult to tell if hand tingling is caused from carpel tunnel syndrome (cts)  or other causes.  You might try this maneuver, extend your wrist, then tap on the crease of your wrist in midline with your other index finger... Lightly. If you feel tingling in your first 3 fingers you may have cts. Confirmation of cts is usually by EMG but MRI of the wrist can demonstrate the nerve compression.

See below:: This could be carpal t syndrome plus cubital ts where the other nerve to the hand (ulnar) gets trapped at the elbow; and more rarely ulnar can get trapped at the wrist, on the little finger side.
Also nerves getting pinched in the neck can also cause a similar picture.

can you tell me about the remedy for hand numbness due to carpal tunnel syndrome?

There are a few:: 1: wrist brace to keep the wrist from being flexed/extended. Initially used at night time.
2: steroid shots might be helpful, if the brace doesn't fully control symptoms, or in pregnancy, if severe.
3: when nothing helps ; the symptoms are severe enough to interfere in daily activities, then surgery is necessary to release the trapped nerve.

First try   PT: Physical therapy will help some , try first , if you are not getting benefit from  PT  other only alternative go for surgery , which is simple low risk out  patient procedure

hello, i need surgery on both wrists because of severe carpal tunnel syndrome. how long will it take after surgery before i can use my hand again?

Varies: If your carpal tunnel is severe I would bet you cannot use your hands now......

Recovery varies, but fine motor is pretty good right away progressing to full strength after a few weeks.
