Yes:  Shingles can recur. “Healthy adults 50 years and older should get two doses of Shingrix, separated by 2 to 6 months. Shingles : This is not unusual as the nerve root has been inflamed and,unfortunately, postherpetic neuralgia may be a chronic condition. At this time I would ask a neurologist if a course of corticosteroid medication may be worthwhile. However it is not unusual for a typical case of shingles to have pain lasting a few weeks and then resolve.

Yes but rare: Shingles, which is a reactivation of latent varicella zoster virus.  Most people are infected with the virus as children and it lays dormant in our nervous system.  The disease generally manifests in times of stress or when our immune systems are weak which generally occurs as we get older.

Yes: A person can have shingles more than once.
