Lasers or peels: Many ways to shrink large pores including many different laser devices (ie: fractional co2, activefx, deepfx, totalfx, re:pair, re:store, erbium:yag, fraxel, pixel, thermage). Chemical peels such as trichloroacetic acid (tca), glycolic acid, jessner's peel (lactic acid, salicylic acid, resorcinol). Microdermabrasion also helps.

Yes: If you like them, use them. I would not waste my money on either of them, much less on both.

We can help!: Blackheads can be treated with a number of things, including a retinoid topical medication and, often, starting with some extractions (removal of the clogged pores).  The larger pores themselves are much more difficult to permanently fix; it is sort of the "holy grail" in dermatology, but things like photodynamic therapy and some topical medications may be able to help reduce their appearance.

Oil free moisturizer: Use oil free non comedogenic moisturizers to avoid acne.  A good example would be cereve lotion, and hydrating cereve wash.  Moisturize more than once a day and do not use toners or astringents.

I BELIEVE THAT DIET IS VERY IMPORTANT. 
NO NUTS, NO PEANUT BUTTER, NO CHOCOLATE AND CUT DOWN ON DAIRY PRODUCTS.
MANY GOOD ACNE SOAPS ARE ON THE MARKET AND MANY BENZOYL PEROXIDE CREAMS AS WELL.
AS FAR AS BIG PORES ARE CONCERNED: WE ARE ALL BORN WITH CERTAIN SIZE PORES. CANNOT CHANGE THIS.
JUST GET RID OF YOUR MAGNIFYING MIRRORS!

Acne treatment: Start with an unscented bar of facial soap you can see through and wash twice daily. Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Exercise and eat vegetable and fruit. Hydate with water. Try using a product with benzoyl peroxide OTC like Oxy 10 or clearasil mostly on the specific areas, once or twice a day. It will dry up most pimples quickly. Use an alcohol-based astringent like Sebanil. Laser, tretinoin.

hello doctor, i have large pores on my face. dermatologist told me to do laser treatment to remove it .is laser treatment really works and is it safe?

Safe and works well: It doesn't get rid of it, just reduces the size of the pores. Find the right laser as not all lasers are alike. Stay away from IPL and check out YAG lasers. You will need a few treatments. It's totally worth it. Get a free consult with different doctors before committing to one. Make sure someone very experienced is doing it too, not just a salon person, but someone who's medically trained by a dr.

i have ice pick scars, large pores, tend to break out often, and a lot of hair on the face. a dermatologist prescribed me stieve-a cream which gets rid of the pimple but leaves a permanent mark after and it doesn't help. not sure what to do?

Cystic Acne: During puberty, hormonal surges cause increased incidence of acne formation. Talk to your GP about prescription medication specifically targeting cystic acne and allows prevention or healing of scars.

picked at whitehead on nose, now a hole bigger than pore and pit like. dermatologist says not infected. will my skin repair itself? will retin a (tretinoin) help?

Skin lesion: Leave your skin alone. It will repair itself. If there was no infection and the whitehead was the only thing that came out of it, it will most likely leave no scars, but let it heal itself and keep your hands off your face.
