Mederma: This is OTC product to help with the reducing scar formation. Some people have tendency to form excessive scar called Keloid formation. For that different treatment is given and may that is the reason your doctor referred you to Dermatologist

for perioral dermatitis around mouth my 8 yrs old son was given cortoderm 1% gm ointment 2 times/day but after 2 days the pinkish rash has subsidized but the rash area has turned brownish now like a scar. using only cicaplast levers now.what to do?

: What is cause dermatitis? Food allergy(use steroids) , tongue effects-lip smacking (steroids)  or herpetic lesion( viral  infection)  or impetigo  ( bacterial) ,as that impacts treatment. Herpes  takes 10-14 days to clear up and may requires antiviral treatment with  acyclovir ,  impetigo requires antibiotics  ( topical and or oral) .  For discoloration consider a bit of silicone gel . F/u/w/ MD

Here are some…: Clinically, at least, I would like to congratulate for not being  skin malignancy. Perivascular dermatitis is merely a descriptive term as seen on the microscope. But how this may be correlated with clinical picture is still unclear and how to manage your current condition is also uncertain. In facing current dilemma,  One has to consider the balance between medical necessity and pro-possibility.

Non-specific: These are all non-specific terms. Perivascular dermatitis on biopsy is not a diagnosis. It is descriptive only. Cushing's syndrome? Iatrogenic or primary???? Treated? You need the most skilled attention to this. I hope you have a good dermatologist.

Depends: Most rashes do  not leave a scar unless you scratch them repeatedly.  A vasculitic type of skin rash (wherein the blood vessels have been attacked) often leaves a scar.
