hi! i'm in massachusetts for the summer( from georgia), and i am needing my depo shot here cause i can't make it back. will a doctor see me here?

If you have records: I am sure a doctor can see you and give you Depo, as long as you have appropriate insurance and documentation of your birth control records. Find a primary care provider or OB/GYN in the area that takes your insurance. If not, possibly a Planned Parenthood may be able to help.

i came off depo-provera on oct. 15. bled on dec. 1st-5th. then it started back up on dec.14. is this pregnancy? or is it just cause of coming off the shot?

Probably from shot: In all likelihood this is due to recent use of Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone).  Menses can be irregular, or even absent, for up to a year.  To avoid pregnancy be sure to use another method of contraception.

i never had hormone or fertility problems before the depo shot 2 years ago. after it i developed acanthosis nigricans and high dheas. body hair face hair. the shot caused this what can i do too reverse it and go back too normal?

: Depoprovera injections contain hormones that can temporarily change your natural hormone levels. The hormone lasts 3 months and the effects can last up to 6 months. Talk to your regular Dr about other changes that your body has undergone in this time (wieght gain, diabetes, etc) to determine how to proceed. They may choose to use balancing hormones (estrogen based) or anti-androgens.

Yes: Depo shot can worsen depression individuals who have it before. 
The insert has adverse effects that include possible depression

Patients who have a history of psychic depression should be carefully observed and the drug not be readministered if the depression recurs.

my last depo shot was nov 30 2020 and im not getting back on it. me and partner want to have a kid how long after can we expect?

Hard to know: The cited average wait for a desired pregnancy is 6 mo with a range of weeks to a year for those at baseline fertility. When you have had an implant or hormonal IUD there is confusion over when fertility returns to baseline. Many would suggest a fertility consult for both parents if you go past 1 yr without success.

Depends: Occasionally Depo-Provera shots can cause irregular menstrual bleeding. Can be a normal event.

Hormones: The depo shot and the coil both contain progestin hormones. Your body is confused. If your are extra concerned, see your doctor, but you probably need 3-6 months after the coil is removed to get back to normal.

Dep-Prov side effect: Depo-provera is notorious for causing abnormal menstrual bleeding. Might be time to use another form of contraceptive like Mirena, (levonorgestrel) for example, or a birth control pill or at least condoms
